BAQ alphaDUR mini II UCI Hardness Tester

Pine Item #53344

The BAQ alphaDUR mini II is a portable UCI hardness tester designed for fast, accurate field and production hardness testing. It uses the Ultrasonic Contact Impedance method and is built for applications where conventional stationary hardness testing is impractical, including machine parts, weld seams, coatings, hardened parts, incoming goods inspection, and production quality control.

The alphaDUR mini II is the fourth generation of the alphaDUR series. It features a robust metal housing, large 3.5-inch color display, built-in lithium-ion battery, USB-C data transfer, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, extensive storage, and statistical functions. The unit supports hardness testing in HV, HB, HRC, HRB, HRA, HRD, HRE, HRF, HR45N, HK, and tensile strength, with conversions according to EN ISO 18265 and ASTM E140. BAQ lists the measuring method according to DIN 50159 and ASTM A1038.

The unit is especially well suited for NDT, fabrication, quality inspection, weld verification, heat-treatment validation, and maintenance teams that need a compact hardness tester capable of repeatable measurements at difficult-to-access locations and at any orientation. BAQ’s manual confirms that UCI measurement is quick, simple, and suited for mobile applications because the hardness value is determined directly during the indentation process without microscopic optical analysis.
