This is a disposable PVC groundwater bailer — a single-use, passive sampling device used to collect water samples from monitoring wells.

What it is:

• A 0.75" diameter × 36" long PVC tube with a check valve at the bottom
• Lowered into a monitoring well on a line; the check valve opens to fill as it descends, then closes to retain the sample when lifted
• "Dis" = disposable (single-use); "UW" = used in groundwater/monitoring well applications

Typical use:

• Collecting groundwater samples from narrow-diameter monitoring wells (0.75" fits wells as small as 2" casing)
• Grab sampling for VOCs, metals, general chemistry, or other analytes
• Disposable design eliminates cross-contamination risk between wells — no decon required
