What it is:

• A 3" diameter × 36" long polyethylene (poly) tube with a bottom check valve

• W = weighted for consistent descent in deeper or low-yield wells

Typical use:

• Groundwater sampling from large-diameter monitoring wells (4"+ casing) — the 3" diameter requires a well with sufficient inside diameter to accommodate it
• Higher-volume sample collection — the larger diameter means more water per drop, useful when large sample volumes are needed or well recovery is slow
• Disposable, no-decon advantage
