The Micro-Diver from Schlumberger Water Services allows you the ability to Program, Start and Stop a test, as well as Download, View, and Plot data while in the the field – without physically attaching to a cable at the well head. This “wireless” feature can reduce or eliminate safety issues in high traffic areas, allow for remote data acquisition where site conditions create difficulty gaining access, and eliminate the issue of water breaching the data cable/datalogger interface and rendering data aquisition difficult or impossible. Infrared technology allows wireless communication between the transducer and the pocket pc from distances of up to 400 feet, and it can be accomplished from the confines of your vehicle or on-site trailer.
