KEY BENEFITS

  • Easy-to-use software offers push-button method selection, automatic wavelength selection and a preprogrammed method timer. Results are displayed immediately, with no countdown. The display is very easy to read, and includes result, units and parameter name.
  • The instrument retains the selected method until a new method is entered, even after the DR/800 is turned off and then back on at a later time. This allows a series of analyzes to be performed for the same parameter without reselecting the method.
  • Datalogging capability includes push-button record-keeping. Store data in the field for later access, with no delay in testing. The instrument stores up to 99 measurements in internal, non-volatile memory. Data stored includes date/time, parameter, program number, concentration/absorbance/ %T, sample number, and instrument serial number, all of which greatly simplify record keeping tasks.
  • Results are displayed directly in units of concentration, absorbance, or % transmittance. In many methods, concentration in alternate chemical forms is also available. For example, phosphate readings are available as P, PO4 and P2O5. Displayed results can be changed from one form to the next at the touch of a button.
  • User-program feature allows users to generate up to 10 custom procedures, with up to 12 data points each, and store them in non-volatile instrument memory for later use.
  • Advanced software includes the ability to automatically correct for reagent blanks, and the option to fine-tune calibration curves with the standard adjust feature.
  • Batteries provide self-contained power for field testing. Nominal battery life is 6 months with standard AA alkaline batteries. Rechargeable alkaline batteries are also available.
  • The optional Data Transfer Adapter (DTA) fits onto the instrument and accepts data sent from the instrument's infrared light emitting diode (LED) transmitter. The DTA converts data to standard RS232 format and connects directly to a computer or printer. Data can be printed or downloaded at any time--after it is stored in the instrument or while it is being collected.

Hach Pocket Colorimeter™ II for Chlorine or Manganese
Hach Pocket Colorimeter™ II for Chlorine or Manganese

The new Pocket Colorimeter™ II Filter Photometer is a true go-anywhere instrument. It's lightweight and battery operated, suitable for extended field work or quick, on-the-spot process monitoring. The instrument has two channels in which measurements can be made. Each channel will accept a user-defined calibration curve. Up to 10 standards can be used to determine the calibration. The curve is generated by a point-to-point straight line segment between each standard used. Linear and non-linear positive or negative slope calibrations can be performed. A calibration curve may also be manually entered from the keypad if a previously determined curve has been made on the Colorimeter. At least two data pairs (concentration and absorbance) are required.

Single Parameter go anywhere portable photometer
Lightweight and battery operated, suitable for extended field work or quick, on-the-spot process monitoring.

Fast, easy, accurate results
The Pocket Colorimeter II is simple enough to use that anyone can obtain reliable results with accuracy comparable to that of a lab instrument.

Factory-Programmed
Each Pocket Colorimeter II Kit Instrument is pre-programmed for one of more than 35 parameters. Many are based on EPA-approved methods. No manual calibration is ever required. Simply zero the instrument with a blank, insert the reacted sample, and read the result.

TSS Portable Hand-held Turbidity, Suspended Solids, and Sludge Level System
TSS Portable Hand-held Turbidity, Suspended Solids, and Sludge Level System

Complete TSS Portable Hand-held Turbidity, Suspended Solids, and Sludge Level System; includes meter, probe, rechargeable batteries, charger for rechargeable batteries with four plug adapters, manual, quick start guide and carrying case.

Three Parameters in One Instrument
The Hach TSS Portable Hand-held Turbidity, Suspended Solids, and Sludge Blanket Level Instrument's unique multi-beam alternating light method with infrared diode system gives it a broad measuring range for both turbidity and suspended solids in one portable handheld instrument.

Multiple Calibration Curves for Convenience
It stores up to four different calibration curves for suspended solids and one for turbidity. There's no need for constant re-calibration for different locations or types of sludge.

Easy Sludge Blanket Levels
The sludge blanket level can be measured by setting the units to mg/L, g/L or percent. Calibrate the instrument and then slowly lower the sensor into the clarifier. The suspended solids concentration will significantly increase as it reaches the sludge blanket level. Once the blanket level is reached, examine the sensor cable which is marked every meter to determine the sludge blanket level depth from the water surface.

Air Bubble Compensation for Accuracy
The instrument software automatically compensates for air bubbles to prevent its influence on the measurement. Turbidity is pre-calibrated with a calibration curve stored in the instrument. For suspended solids, each of the calibration curves can be closely adjusted to the laboratory results because each calibration curve can use up to three points per curve plus a zero value.

Durable Materials for Long Life
The probe is made of polished stainless steel with a scratch-resistant sapphire window to withstand harsh environments. Polished stainless steel helps keep particles from sticking to the surface of the probe. The internal memory stores up to 290 measuring values, including time, date, measurement, location, and homogeneity. Three operating modes are available: single, interval, or continuous.

Hach FLO-DAR® AV Sensor
Hach FLO-DAR® AV Sensor

It’s pretty easy to understand why “staying out of the flow” is a smart approach to avoid sensor-fouling and the resulting missed flow data. That’s exactly why we developed the non-contact FLO-DAR® AV Sensor. Using advanced digital Doppler radar velocity-sensing technology, along with ultrasonic level-sensing, the FLO-DAR revolutionizes open-channel flow monitoring by measuring from above the flow. This means it can more effectively provide highly-accurate flow data under a wide range of challenging flow and site conditions, including sensor disturbances, high solids content, high temperature, shallow and caustic flows, large man-made channels, and high velocities of up to 20 ft/s, to name a few.

And because the FLO-DAR is mounted above it all, personnel have little or no contact with the flow during installation. In fact, future sensor removal or replacement can even be done without the need for confined space entry. Talk about a time saver.

Lastly, for those times when a surcharge event does raise the flow to sensor level, the FLO-DAR's pressure level sensor and optional electromagnetic Surcharge Velocity Sensor will continue to provide uninterrupted and accurate flow data. All of this mean less need for routine sensor cleaning or maintenance, and more consistent flow data for your analysis. And that’s a good thing.

Hach Flo-Tote Portable Open Channel Flowmeter
Hach Flo-Tote Portable Open Channel Flowmeter

The Flo-Tote flowmeter has been the industry standard for over two decades and has now been updated to include customer requested features including a disconnectable/interchangeable electromagnetic sensor that is also field replaceable.
The original Flo-Tote Open Channel Flowmeter has been the industry standard for over two decades. Tens of thousands of users worldwide have verified Flo-Tote's accuracy. Now, the revolutionary NEW Flo-Tote 3 is available with customer requested features while utilizing the same proven electromagnetic sensor technology.

Here's How It Works
The Flo-Tote 3 measures both velocity and level in the same cross-section, a requirement necessary for accurate flow rate measurement using the Continuity Equation Q = V x A where Q = Flow, V = Average Velocity and A = Area. The flow accuracy of the Flo-Tote is based upon the accurate measures of both velocity and level in hydraulic flow labs, as well as under actual sewer conditions. Verification of our specifications by an independent flow laboratory assures you of our commitment to accuracy.
